Payment for 2017 is due on 1st January, but we do give people the option of paying by standing order on 1st February. It would be very helpful for me if all payments could be made by 14th February at the latest. Our database is very simple, and we assume that you wish to remain a member unless you let us know that you wish to resign. Each year, we spend a considerable amount on postage for reminders, and we have lost money by continuing to send journals to people who subsequently don’t respond to payment reminders. In 2017, we hope to time our journals so that they only go to paid-up members.
We know that people’s circumstances and interests change, so if you decide not to continue your membership in 2017, please let me know – you can use this form or use the contact details below. It is useful to us if you are able to tell us why you decide to leave, so that we can see how we might improve our services to members. We are always delighted to welcome back re-joining members!
Some of you are extra-conscientious about paying your subscriptions, to the extent that some people have paid twice. If you discover that you have done this, we can put the payment to the next calendar year, we can issue a refund, or treat the extra as a donation. If you find that you have paid twice, please let me know which of these options you prefer!
You can find the rates for membership renewal for 2017 here, together with a standing order form if you would like to change to this method of payment, and a Gift Aid form, if you are a UK tax-payer and have not filled in a form previously. Thank you very much for your support of the BPS!
