N: Cultivar Weekend, Sizergh, Cumbria

July 15 - July 16

Saturday 15th July 10:00
We will be meeting at the Strickland Arms where there is plenty of parking
Coffee between 10.00 and 10.30
In the morning we will have a couple of speakers one of which is Andrew Harrison about his research into the ferns at Sizergh
Lunch between 12.30 and 1.30
Drive or walk up to the garden car park
Tour around the notable cultivars in the garden, 1.30 -3.00
2 groups lead by Andrew Harrison and Julian Reed
We will end with coffee, or any other delights from the café at your own expense 3.30 to 4pm

Sunday 16th 10:00
Approach Warton from the A6 just south of a small roundabout (Borwick Lane)
At the T junction in the village turn RIGHT
The Northwood garden (LA5 9QF) is 1/2 mile further on this road. Drive out of the village and it is the last house on the left
Look out for Julian in a high-vis jacket
The Bolton collection is back down this road. Look out for Julian again in a high-vis jacket and park in the Croftlands Estate
The Bolton collection (LA5 9PT) is a few yards further on the main road

We have then been invited for tea/coffee and cake at Pear Tree Cottage, Dalton, Cumbria LA6 1NN for 12.00-12.30
An opportunity to see a fantastic garden
Then disperse
