As well as ferns there is a plethora of rare flora and fauna to see and we shall spend most of the day exploring the site. Following the field meeting Wendy and Simon Gowen have kindly offered to provide refreshments at their cottage in nearby Rickinghall.

Polypodies in Dinas Powis and Victorian style fernery at Dyffryn Gardens, Glamorgan The national society visited the Polypodies of Dinas Powis way back in 1990, when they saw all three species and even managed to spy plants of the cultivar P. australe ‘Richard Kayes’, which was first recorded from this location even further back in 1668.
