SE: Marline Valley, near Hastings, and ghylls near Crowhurst

I am hoping we will be joined by the Hastings botany Club for this meeting, which will explore some of the Sussex ghylls, including a nature reserve the Society has not been to before. These deep and wooded ghylls are rich in ferns and most of the classic wealden flora. Stephen Munyard has kindly offered to entertain us after the meeting. An opportunity to see Steve’s fascinating garden.

N: BPS Display Weekend, RHS Wisley

Following the success of our 125th Anniversary Display Weekend in the main glasshouse at Wisley in July 2016, we have been invited by RHS to repeat this. Once again, we will have a fine display of ferns, fern cultivation, fern merchandise and fern sales to promote BPS and pteridology. Please contact Julian if you would like to help.

Last year, the Society put on a two today event for the RHS, in the Gallery of the Glasshouse at Wisley. This was appreciated by the RHS, and was very successful for us.
