We are opening our garden to the public on Saturday, 30 July, 3 to 6pm, for teas, etc., as a fundraiser for Save the Children. The garden features a grass-cut labyrinth, market garden, apiary and a stumpery. We will be having an exhibit on the history of the house from 1870 to 1999, when we arrived, and also on the Victorian interest in Stumperies'. Polypodies in Dinas Powis and Victorian style fernery at Dyffryn Gardens, Glamorgan The national society visited the Polypodies of Dinas Powis way back in 1990, when they saw all three species and even managed to spy plants of the cultivar P. australe ‘Richard Kayes’, which was first recorded from this location even further back in 1668.
