Fred Rumsey had attended a meeting of the Aquatic Plant Taxon Group. He mentioned a project for amateurs to help map scarce plant distributions, with potential funding from Natural England. He proposed a project on Pilularia as it was 30 years since the survey that Clive Jermy organised; a project for all members to get involved in.
