N: Annual General Meeting 2018

SPRING MEETING & 115th ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Please let Alison Paul know if you plan to attend, ideally by 11th April (but don’t worry if you later find you can’t come or if you decide to come and have not ‘booked’).

Please use the staff/departmental visitor/John Flett Theatre entrance near the Exhibition Road public entrance; do not queue up with the public! Those arriving after 10.00 when the Museum opens will NOT need to sign in or get a pass; please be prepared to wait at the Security point if you arrive earlier. Make your way past the Visitor Reception desk and up the few steps on your left. Turn immediately left and left up the stairs. Continue up (past the toilets) and the Flett Theatre Foyer is on your left. Please sign in there and collect a name label. There is also access by lift.
Tea and coffee will be provided but please bring a packed lunch (or use NHM cafés/restaurant). BPS Merchandise and Special Publications will be on sale. Please do not bring any plants.

President-Elect: Elected for 1 year; election required this year. Committee recommendation is Dr Alison Evans.

Vice-Presidents: Maximum of 6. Elected for 3 years, eligible for re-election thereafter. Mr Rob Cooke (3/2007), Mr Matt Busby (4/2008), Dr Adrian Dyer (4/2008).
Mr Roger Golding (4/2012) and Mr Robert Sykes (4/2012) have served 2 terms but are eligible for re- election.

NOMINATIONS

Subject to re-election, all Officer posts will be filled this year except that of Publicity and Marketing Officer, which remains vacant.
There are vacancies for 1 Vice-President and 5 Elected Committee Members. Nominations for these are welcomed and should be sent to the Committee Secretary, Mrs Ann Haskins, if possible 10 days before the AGM (i.e. by the 4th April 2018).

APPOINTMENT OF INDEPENDENT EXAMINERS

Dr Nick Hards and Mr Barrie Buels are willing to continue as Independent Examiners.
