N&C: National meeting for the cultivar group

September 14 @ 10:00 am - September 15 @ 4:30 pm

All members are welcome on both days.

Saturday 14th – Visit Julian Reed`s incredible collection.
We will spend the morning in the Garden which houses the rarer plants of Plant Heritage National Collections of Polystichum and Polypodium as well as many Athyrium, Dryopteris and Selaginella as well as many unusual ferns. There are two green houses, one 22x8ft and one 6x8ft packed with ferns including a range of Pyrrosia.
Plant Swap: Please bring your spare plants for a free plant swap a chance to get rid of all those extras you grew from the spore exchange and get some ones you never new you wanted !

Lunch will be a snack lunch of sausages in baps so please let us know any food requirements /allergies
In the afternoon we will go up to the Allotment were the rest of the National Collection is held in three tunnels, 2 about 35ft long the other is 18ft wide and 60ft long all packed with ferns and surrounded by ferns!
For those who would like to join up at the local Pub for dinner which is very good. Please let me know about food allergies.

Sunday 15th – Visit the Savill Gardens at Windsor
We aim to meet up in their carpark about 10am, it is open on a Sunday 9-4.30.
Go to the Savill Garden car park in Wick lane as the post code has caused issues in the past.
There are many unusual and rare ferns in the garden including many of Christopher Fraser Jenkins Collection. It is an absolutely amazing Plant Persons Garden
