N&SE: Cultivar Group National meeting
September 25 @ 10:30 am - September 26 @ 4:00 pm
On Saturday meet at 10.30 at Mark Border’s home
Mark has a brilliant collection with many fascinating ferns especially Asplenium scolopendrium cultivars and much more.
After a fascinating visit to Mark’s we will go on to Riverhill Himalayan gardens for 2.30 pm, approximately an hours drive, and gives you time to grab some lunch on the way or at Riverhill. Adam has arranged free entry to the gardens for us. There is an old Edwardian Rock garden now planted as a fernery and some interesting Dryopteris species on site as well.
On Sunday we will visit Julian Reed’s garden in Kemsing and visit the fern allotment, 19A Northdown Road, Kemsing Tn156SD. Housed in the garden and allotment is the national collection of Polypodium plus over a hundred Polystichum plus a lot more. There are literally hundreds of ferns in the garden at Kemsing and at the allotment
If you would like to join us for lunch at the pub or the Italian deli in Kemsing let me know so I can book space.
Contact Julian Reed if you would like to come on firstname.lastname@example.org
