A botanical ramble around The Blorenge, Gwent

For our second trip, we will undertake a much more leisurely stroll on The Blorenge, a
bluff overlooking Abergavenny in Gwent. This is an area of interest both from the
botanical and the industrial archaeology viewpoint and we will visit a number of sites
fairly close to car parking, although some walking will be involved. We expect to see a
good range of upland ferns, both acid and lime loving and definitely a clubmoss!

South Sheet).

Best to have solid footwear and some protection from bad weather if
necessary. We hope to arrange a pub lunch (booking will be required), but participants
may bring a packed lunch if they prefer.
