'Trippitt's Crested'Cristatum GroupPolypodium cambricumA rare cultivar with fronds bipinnatifid with neat crests on all the tips. Height 7-20cm (3-8ins). Raised by Bob Trippitt about 1975Like all cambricums it likes some lime in the soil and good drainage. Winter green looses it fronds in late spring and comes back into frond in August, September when it gets enough rain or a hose pipe. I grow mine in the greenhouse were it stays green all year as it is watered regularly. Ideal for dry spots will take a lot of sun or shadeRoger Golding / Julian Reed
