Our members grow a wide range of ferns and some do have favourite genera such as Polypodium or Polystichum or general groups of interest such as alpine ferns or cultivars. We have just one Special Interest Group at the moment – Cultivars, see below – but in the past we have had enthusiastic groups covering filmy ferns, tree ferns, foreign hardy ferns and aquatic pteridophytes. The Cultivar Special Interest Group
The cultivar SIG is open to anyone with a specialist interest in cultivars. They organise field trips, speakers and garden visits. Information is available from Julian Reed.  email: Cultivar Group  

The Indoor and Tropical Fern Group
The Indoor and Tropical Fern Group is a special interest group. We publish a newsletter twice per year, organise visits to members’ fern collections, have an annual meeting for presentations, and trips to larger tropical fern collections. Information is available from iatsig@ebps.org.uk
